“The Boat on the Ground” depicts the changing and disappearing land reclaimed from the sea in Dade, Busan. The boat on the ground is a fishing boat that was left by a fisherman at the last port at the mouth of Nakdong River. This is one of traces of many fishermen leaving after this area became an industrial park in 2006.

<땅 위의 배>는 땅 위에 버려진 이 거대한 어선배의 허무성을 조명한다. 땅 위에 놓인 어선배는 과거 어부들이 대거 떠나면서 남겨진 것으로 이 전시 공간이 원래는 바다였음을 암시한다. 전시 기간 동안 계속해서 채워지고 떨어지는 모래시계에 의해서 덮어지기도 하고 관객들에 의해서 들추어지기도 하는 어선배와 해안가 주변에서 발견된 폐기물들은 이들이 피할 수 없는 상호의존성 안에서 존재함을 상기시킨다.
